Professional Services

Advancing telecommunications above and beyond...

Systems & Network Engineering (IP)

OmniGlobe has developed a considerable expertise in Internet Protocol (IP) networking, and provides complete IP network consulting and design services, ranging from troubleshooting performance problems in existing networks to the design, testing and turnkey delivery of complete IP networks to meet specific customer requirements.

Systems & Network Engineering (Wireless)

OmniGlobe designs, owns and operates multiple complex wireless networks based on various technologies including CDMA, GSM, WiMAX, and Wi-Fi.  Our highly qualified wireless engineers enable us to offer a variety of services ranging from one-off RF interference analysis and mitigation for specific customer projects, to full wireless network planning and implementation including project management, RF link analysis and path profiling (multi-technology point-to-point and point-to-multipoint), capacity planning, consulting on regulatory issues for licensed frequency bands, site surveys, and tower construction.

Satellite Systems Engineering

OmniGlobe has a 20-year legacy of delivering turnkey customized satellite communications solutions and consulting services to customers, ranging from satellite link analysis (link budgets) for specific customer projects, to consulting on the ITU’s regulatory framework (e.g. satellite coordination), custom VSAT engineering to meet specific requirements (e.g. operation in harsh environments), and full turnkey teleport design and construction services.  We also offer a complete set of training courses on satellite technologies and related topics.

System Integration

We engineer complete turnkey RF-Sub systems throughout the region, consisting of patch panels, matrix, modems, converters, amplifiers, servers, Monitor & Control (M&C), and clock distribution. We construct temporary floors and ceilings and any other relevant obstructions at our production facility in order to imitate the physical layout and route cabling as it will appear in the customer's premises.

This has a number of positive benefits at the customer site:

  • Minimises the expensive implementation
  • Reduces the mess from cutting cables
  • Enables an "as built" File Allocation Table (FAT) at our premises
  • Minimises sub contractors on site
  • There are literally thousands of connections and many kilometres of cabling to be carefully planned and integrated into a set of racks, and following our approach, every one will be factory produced and tested to ensure ruggedness and reliability.

VSAT Systems

We manage projects where Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) or Radio Frequency (RF) networks as well as Monitor and Control (M&C) are central to the cost and performance of the application. We are not tied to any software or hardware solution, and use that freedom to design the highest value solution for our customers’ benefit. With these skills and experience, we offer systems that:

  1. Meet the performance and reliability specification
  2. Avoid proprietary solution "lock-ins"
  3. Minimize cost of OFEX in terms of space segment, operations and maintenance, and spare part.

Our project experience includes:

  • The physical design of vehicle solutions: fixed roof-mounted, man-transportable, semi-fixed
  • Quick-deploy IP phone and GSM backhaul networks
  • Networks in mesh, semi-mesh or SCPC
  • Monitor and control of assets to meet strategic service level requirements
  • Our track record extends across PTT’s, Government contracts, UN, and Commercial
  • Our partner program includes properly qualified construction, civil, and vehicle/trailer engineers
  • Risk analysis and safety cases are inherent to the management of our projects, and we always use suitably qualified experts

Documentation & Technical Publications

Omniglobe documentation and technical publications are of the highest quality ensuring swift acceptance and ease of use.

Our typical system handbook will include:

  • Safety case; Hazard log; Wiring diagrams; Network drawings; IP layer network drawings; Assembly instructions with step by step full color photographs; Trouble shooting /testing/ diagnostic guide; Routine maintenance; FAQ, Glossary of terms; Manual issue number...

Type Approval

OmniGlobe ensures that the equipment and systems that we supply meet industrial and legal standards. Using our knowledge and skills we accept contracts to undertake compliance testing and support the process through any re-work or component replacement or EMI shielding.

Where a system is to be placed onto the international market, OmniGlobe project manages the certification to ensure that when the customer takes possession of the system or product no time is wasted providing the correct documentation, allowing swift acceptance into the final system.
